Date of birth: November 26, 1951Bio: Anna Ilona Staller was born in 1951 in Budapest, Hungary. She started working for a modeling agency in 1964.
Later Staller moved to Italy where she got married. In the early 1970s she had a program called "Do you want to sleep with me?" on Radio Luna, for which she chose the name La Cicciolina (tranlsates as "Cuddles"). Staller took part in several porn movies in early 1970s, but the first movie that she did under her own name was La liceale (The Teasers) in 1975. Her most well-known movie is "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empress" with John Holmes, released in 1986. Later it would be known that John Holmes had HIV when working on this movie, but continued to work in the adult industry nevertheless to get the money which he needed to support his cocaine habit. Thankfully, Cicciolina did not take the infection from him and gave birth to a healthy boy years later. "Passionate Lovers" (1991) is another remarkable movie to her credit. The niches Cicciolina worked in are mostly DP, Anal and Facial.
However, it was not her porn career that made Cicciolina famous all over the world. In 1979 Staller became a member of the Lista del Sole, the first Green party in Italy. In 1987 she was elected to the Italian Parliament with about 20,000 votes. Even though she wasn't re-elected after the end of her term, she became notorious for offering to have sex with Saddam Hussein in return for peace in Iraq. This is when Cicciolina's porn movies became extremely popular and started selling well. In 1991 Staller and her friend, a porn star Moana Pozzi founded the Party of Love to fight for the legalization of brothels and "love parks" as well as better sex education.
Staller also recorded several songs, but due to explicit lyrics they could not be released in Italy. Still, these songs became quite popular in other countries and were used as soundtracks in her porn movies.
Even though Cicciolina left the industry in early 1990s she remains one of the most famous and hotly debated classic porn stars. more info »
